WHAT ARE CHEMICAL PEELS?
Are you looking for a way to repair your skin or enhance your complexion? Chemical peels are made up of exfoliating solutions designed to reveal healthier, radiant skin. At our Spanish Fork, UT office, nurse practitioner Shea Nielsen offers chemical peel treatments that address skin flaws, such as fine lines, scars, hyperpigmentation, and more. By removing damaged, dead skin cells using a special solution on the skin that causes the top layer to peel off, you will notice an improved, clearer complexion. Call Revival Aesthetics and Wellness to learn about how this treatment can leave your skin looking and feeling younger.
HOW DOES A CHEMICAL PEEL WORK?
On the day of your appointment, we will have you lie in a relaxed position to administer your chemical peel. Your skin will be cleansed before applying the personalized exfoliating solution to your face, neck, or both. We will spread the solution onto the skin and let it work for an appropriate amount of time, which will be discussed in your consultation. Finally, we will wash the solution off your face and put on a neutralizing agent. You should bring sunscreen or a hat to wear outside after the treatment to limit sun exposure. Your skin may itch and will peel during the healing process, but it’s important not to pick at it because you could cause scarring.
